8 - 9 Months

All smiles this month!  I am sitting like a pro and interacting more.  I started to wave, clap, turn pages of books, rock back and fourth on all fours and sip from a straw!!  Let's jump into photos:

Mom showed tried to get me to drink from a straw for over a week.  I finally gave in.

Grandma came to visit us and we had lots of big fun together :)

First time eating chicken.  Pretty darn yummy.

I like to tease mom by almost pulling off my socks.  It's fun.

Dad and mom took me to dim sum!  I tried a taste of soy sauce.  And at in a highchair for the first time.  Dad played a really fun game of pick up with me.  I threw his hat on the ground and he picked it up.  Every time :)

Mom takes me to music class every Monday.  I recommend the maracas.  They're tasty.

I didn't have a check-up this month, but mom keeps telling me how heavy I am, so I must be growing.  I am eating three solid meals a day and starting and ending the day with a bottle, so I'm packing it on somewhere.  No top teeth yet, but I can feel them coming :(.

7 - 8 Months

Whew, it's been quite a month!  Let's jump right in:

I can now put my feet in my mouth and it's my favorite thing to do.  Mmmmmmm...

I also started practicing my fish lips.  Mom and dad think it's hilarious.  I'm not sure what the big deal is.  Just working on my version of Blue Steel.

And silly DD came to visit again.  We have so much fun together - he likes to show me how to share toys.

Or while sitting on my throne in mom and dad's bathroom while mom gets ready.  Also, I'm huge now.

Still love the bath!

I know I keep saying it, but I'm getting better and better at tummy time.  I have much more control over my upper half, but I'm not quite into connecting the lower half yet.

I like to sit in the kitchen in my seat while mom cooks me yummy food.

Going bye bye in my kitty pants.  So chic.

Gettin' buff.

DD came to visit again!  He likes to tickle my feet.

Dad loves to take me on walks.  It's my favorite.

First time at the park with my friend Chance!  We went on the swings and played in the sand.  Mom told me I had sand stuck in my hair for a week :)

What?  Just doin' more push-ups.

And eatin'.

No more bucket car seat.  I finally graduated to the convertible car seat.  Not really sure what to think yet...

But I do know I love a nice dip in the kiddie pool on a hot day.  Check out my cool toys.

Apparently I have an odd sense of humor because I cracked up while mom and dad tossed a towel across the room:

At my 8-month check up I weighed 18 lbs. and 13 oz. (75%) and was 29.5 inches long (98%).  Yep, I'm huge.  I started babbling consonants this month and really loved mimicking people.  DD taught me to make a slow "ahhhhh" sound with my mouth wide open.  And mom and dad gave me lots of sounds to respond to.  My favorite sound to make was "bah bah bah bah bah bah".  I also started turning the pages of books when people read to me and waving hello!  My fine motor skills are becoming more apparent as I gingerly pick up cheerios and small pieces of food.  

Dad and mom keep telling me how cute I am.  I can't say I disagree. 

6 - 7 Months

I'm half a year old!  And so much happened this month, wow.  Here's the scoop:

Mom got me some bubbles and we played in the backyard.

And I started sitting in my highchair to eat.  Prunes are my fave :)

I started to sit a little bit...

And DD changed my diaper.

I wasn't the steadiest, but I was trying really hard!

The weather got super hot, so mom and dad took me in the pool.  It was great!

I went through a week of learning to do bridges and stick out my tongue :)

And I got a hold of DD's glasses!

And the biggest milestone of all - my two bottom teeth came in!

I really like yogurt.  And pears.  And zucchini.  And carrots.  And butternut squash.

And I found my toes.  It seemed logical to put them in my mouth...

I also tried tofu with miso.  It was awesome!

And by the end of month 6, I could sit unassisted.  Mom and dad went to Montana for the weekend and I stayed with my Grandma Sylvie and Grandpa Henry and they did such a great job of helping me practice sitting.  I had a lot of fun at their house :)
